James led Cleveland to a perfect 3-0 record this past week after averaging 26.7 points on .533 shooting from the field, 9.7 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 2.3 steals in 34.3 minutes per game. He also registered two double-doubles. Among Eastern Conference leaders, James was tied for fourth in steals per game (2.3), while ranking fifth in points per game (26.7), eighth in assists per game (6.3), eighth in field goals made (32), and tied for ninth in rebounds per game (9.7). The 12-time NBA All-Star scored in double figures in all three games, increasing his double-digit consecutive scoring streak to 700 regular season games. He joins Michael Jordan (866) and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (787) as the only players in NBA history to have double-digit scoring streaks of 700 games or more.
James, who was the only player in the NBA to shoot over .500 from the field while averaging at least 20.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists this past week, tallied a game-high 33 points on 14-22 (.636) shooting, five rebounds, four assists and two steals in 37 minutes of Cleveland’s 100-96 win over Indiana on Feb. 29. He followed that up with 19 points, a season-high tying 13 rebounds, seven assists and three steals in 30 minutes during a 108-83 victory against Washington on March 4. James closed out the week by helping the Cavs overcome an 18-point deficit to defeat Boston, 120-103, on March 5. In the win against the Celtics, James notched his second straight double-double with a game-high 28 points on 11-20 (.550) shooting, 11 rebounds, a game-high eight assists, two steals and one block in 36 minutes, marking his 700th consecutive regular season game scoring in double figures, as he also surpassed Tim Duncan for 14th place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list with his 17th point on the night, a layup at the 4:43 mark of the third quarter.
In 2015-16, James has appeared in 59 games (all starts) with averages of 24.8 points (sixth in NBA) on .504 shooting from the field, 7.3 rebounds, 6.6 assists (10th in NBA) and 1.5 steals in 35.8 minutes per game. The 6-8 forward is the only player in the league to shoot at least .500 from the field while averaging at least 20.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists this season. James and the Cavaliers currently sit atop the Eastern Conference with a 44-17 record.

CLEVELAND – The NBA announced today that Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James has been named the Kia NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month for games played in February 2016. This marks the 18th time a Cavs player has earned Player of the Month honors and James’ 30th, the most in NBA history.
In the month of February, James appeared in 12 games (8-4) for the Cavs and averaged an Eastern Conference-best 24.8 points, to go along with 7.4 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 1.7 steals in 36.8 minutes per game. In addition to leading the East in scoring last month, James led the conference in field goals made (117) and was tied for second in assists per game (7.3). He also ranked fourth in total points (267), fifth in plus/minus (+80), tied for eighth in steals per game (1.67), tied for 13th in double-doubles (4) and 20th in rebounds per game (7.4). The 12-time NBA All-Star had four double-doubles, which includes a triple-double performance in a 120-100 win over Sacramento on Feb. 8 (21 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists).

James was the only player in the East to average at least 20.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists in February, and one of just two players in the NBA to accomplish that feat (Russell Westbrook). He topped at least 20 points in 11 of his 12 February appearances, including two 30-point outings. He also shot at least .500 from the field on eight occasions and had eight games with at least 20 points, five rebounds and five assists.
The 6-8 forward had several historical achievements throughout February. He recently moved past Moses Malone (9,435) for 19th all-time in field goals made with his second field goal against Chicago on Feb. 18. He surpassed Paul Pierce for 15th place on the NBA all-time scoring list with his layup at the 3:59 mark of the first quarter against the L.A. Lakers on Feb. 10. Before that, he past Kevin Garnett (26,071) for 16th place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list with his field goal at the 3:07 mark of the third quarter at Charlotte on Feb. 3. Earlier in February, James became the 19th player in league history to make 6,000 career free throws with his 11th make against Boston on Feb. 5.
In 57 games (all starts) this season, James is averaging 24.9 points (sixth in NBA) on .505 shooting from the field, 7.2 rebounds, 6.6 assists (11th in NBA) and 1.4 steals in 35.9 minutes per game. James and the Cavaliers are an Eastern Conference-best 42-17 on the season, which includes a 25-5 mark at Quicken Loans Arena.

CLEVELAND – The NBA announced today that Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James has been named the Eastern Conference Player of Week for games played Monday, January 4, through Sunday, January 10. This marks the second time this season James has earned Player of the Week accolades, as well as the 50th time in his career, the most in NBA history. It also marks the 50th time in franchise history a player has earned Player of the Week honors and the 31st time James has earned the honor as a member of the Cavaliers.
James led Cleveland to the most wins in the Eastern Conference this past week with a perfect 4-0 record, which includes three wins by double-digits and three road victories. In the four games, James averaged 26.0 points on .582 shooting from the field, including .400 from the three-point line, 7.8 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 1.8 steals and 0.8 blocks in 35.0 minutes per game. Among Eastern Conference leaders, James was first in total points (104), first in field goals made (39), tied for first in points per game (26.0), fourth in total assists (28), tied for seventh in assists per game (7.0) and tied for seventh in three-pointers made (8). He also registered two double-doubles and made at least 50 percent of his field goal attempts in three games during the week. James scored in double figures in all four contests, increasing his double-digit consecutive scoring streak to 675 games (third-longest in NBA history), while topping 20 or more points three times, including two 30-point outings.
James, who was the only player in the NBA to shoot over .500 from the field and average at least 20.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists this past week, tallied 20 points on 7-11 (.636) shooting, seven assists and three steals in 31 minutes of Cleveland’s 122-100 home win over Toronto on Jan. 4. During a 121-115 win at Washington on Jan. 6, James notched his 300th career regular season double-double after pouring in a game-high 34 points on 12-22 (.545) shooting, including 4-9 (.444) from the three-point line, a game-high 10 rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block in 40 minutes. In the Cavs’ 125-99 win at Minnesota on Jan. 8, he nearly registered a triple-double with 13 points, a game-high 12 rebounds, a game-high eight assists, one steal and two blocks in 32 minutes. James closed out the week with a season-high tying 37 points on 15-22 (.682) shooting, including 3-5 (.600) from long range, seven rebounds, a team-high nine assists and two steals in 37 minutes of a 95-85 win at Philadelphia on Jan. 10.
