Cavs Donning Price/Daugherty/Nance Throwbacks this Year?
From the Cavs teamshop, it looks like LBJ/Shaq/Z/Mo and the boys will be rocking the 80’s version of the classic Cavs uni (mind you, not the 2nd one with CLEVELAND for road games, but the original road blue). I have the blurb below. Pay specific attention to the part I highlighted in RED (below the pic).
2009-2010 Throwback
“Support the Cleveland Cavaliers on and off the court by wearing this Hardwood Classic Swingman jersey from adidas®. Retroactive to the 1988-1989 era of Cleveland Cavaliers basketball, this jersey is an authentic looking styling of the one worn by players such as Mark Price during this period in Cavalier’s history. We’ve already seen pics of the hybrid jersey for CavFanatic, which is this jersey conjoined with the 70’s colors, but we haven’t got confirmation on this throwback getting rocked this year. They usually do this every other year, and since last year was a tribute to the original jersey, we weren’t due for nostalgia until 2010-2011 (which, technically, is the 40th anniversary… not this year).

while you are right that next year is the 40th anniversary of the formation of the cavaliers, this season (2009-2010) is in fact their 40th season.
