Pretty big day yesterday, the Cavs took Irving as expected with the 1st and surprised quite a few with Thompson at 4. I gotta admit I didn’t know Tristan at all prior to the pick and I just hope Coach Scott and GM Grant know more than I do.
I the 2nd round they picked Milan Macvan from Serbia – 6′ 9” 260 lbs… that’s all I know
.
Feels good to be at the center of the NBA Universe again. I gotta admit I missed it.
Cavs have the 1 and the 4 but we’ve heard all sorts of rumors about trades and changes. Twitter is a blessing and a curse. So much information is available but its hard to sift through it all. We will see.
Cavs have been spotty with drafts. Traditionally always making the right pick at #1 (Carr, Big Brad, LBJ) and making good 2nd round picks. But in the last 15 years we’ve NOT done so great at mid lottery picks.
Tomorrow should be fun.

Cavs Great (19.3 PPG, 5.8 APG over four years) Mike Mitchell passed away yesterday after a 2 year battle with cancer. Mike was the bright spot on the Cavs post AC and Bingo era.
Mike made the 1981 All-Star game that was hosted in Richfield, OH. He score 14 on 6/12 shooting and grabbed 4 rebounds in 15 minutes of work in front of his home crowd.
Mike was well known for prolific scoring and a high arching jumper. He had no fear in putting it up.
The Cavs drafted Mike in 1978 and he came off the bench his first season before joining the starting line-up and becoming a great scorer.
RIP Mike.

CAVS WIN! (link)
@CavsNick came through in the clutch and delivered the 1st and 4th overall picks in the 2011 NBA Draft for his Dad, the Cavs and the Cavs Faithfull.
But even he needed a little help. The Cleveland Sportsverse was well represented as Gilbert flew out Josh Cribbs, Cavs SuperFan Joe Haden and also Bernie Kosar!?
And I agree with Nick: “What’s not to like”

Wear your gear, get your good luck charms out. Go Cavs.
Horrible, horrible news to report. Cavs Alum Robert “Tractor” Traylor was found dead today (Wednesday May 11, 2011) apparently of a heart attack.
Tractor had a number of problems off the court, but was a fun player and person. He will be missed.
He was only 34 years old.
Former NBA player Robert “Tractor” Traylor was found dead Wednesday on bedroom floor of his oceanfront apartment in San Juan, Puerto Rico, police said.
Traylor had been missing for three days before friends went to visit him and found his body, according to police and Vaqueros de Bayamon, his team in Puerto Rico.
He apparently died from a heart attack, the team and police said.
Traylor was not active for Vaqueros, as he was rehabbing a heel injury. He underwent a surgical procedure on his heart in 2005.
Traylor, 34, was a McDonald’s All-American and played college basketball at Michigan. He was selected No. 6 overall in the 1998 NBA draft by the Dallas Mavericks, who traded him to Milwaukee for the Bucks’ two first-round picks, Dirk Nowitzki and Pat Garrity.
In seven seasons with the Bucks, Cavaliers and Hornets, he averaged 4.8 points and 3.7 rebounds in 438 career games.
The Vaqueros requested that Wednesday’s game against Indios de Mayaguez be canceled in memory of Traylor.
Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.
