A metallic gold was introduced in 1980 and was the primary color of the home uniform; wine remained the color on the road. This uniform also featured two horizontal stripes across the chest and the word “CLEVELAND” in block letters. These are the only Cavaliers uniforms to have screened on letters and numbers.
