A minor change was made for the 1997-98 season, as the team name and numbers appeared in black with an orange line on the home shirts and in white with an orange line on the road shirts. “CLEVELAND“ was placed on the left thigh of the home shorts and “CAVS“ was placed on the left thigh of the road shorts.
